Songs you really like on albums you're not a fan of

Skillet's "Inivincible" is a pretty boring album. But The Fire Breathes slaps. What are songs like this for you?

This thread just reminded me of another band I once had in my Christian collection but for the life of me can't remember the name of the band. I bought the album on a whim and really didn't like the album at all just wasn't my flavor, more a punk kinda vibe. Anyway the song was called cry little sister or cry sister, something along those lines. That was the only song I liked on the whole album...sound familiar  anyone (and no, it wasn't the lost boys)...

The album is good AND that is one of the best songs on it.

“Mulligan’s Stew” on Human Sacrifice. I am not a fan of Vengeance much at all. But I really do enjoy that song.

"Tourniquet "Trivializing the Momentous, Complicating the Obvious" from Acoustic Archives. Pretty easy choice

"I Am A Stone" and "Dead Flowers" from Demon Hunter's "True Defiance (Deluxe Edition).

Their ballads can be amazing but I do not care for the regular screamo material.

You're right that there's apparently a separate sub-genre called screamo.  
But....Screaming is all just screaming to me...!   I just call it all screamo or screamcore.

Sweet Amber from St. Anger

Ooo Pillars is such a great album. I forgot to put that on my fav extreme metal list too. Mind Bender is a great tune. That riff is catchy and the chorus is massive hook. Great album.

I'm not a big fan of the ReLoad album(especially Slither, worst Metallica song followed by Purify) but Fuel, The Unforgiven II(my fav of the trilogy), and Carpe Diem Baby are amazing songs.

Unforgiven II is amazing. Fuel is good too. Slither is way better than people say.

It was one of my favorite albums for many years. I still love it. The whole album is awesome! 

Mindbender is a extra special highlight. Just as good as the best of Pantera. One of the best groove riffs of all time! It’s just as catchy as the main riff on the song CFH.

When I first got the album as a new release, Sweet Amber is the song that stood out to me. I like the fast rhythm galloping that Hetfield is known for. And the beginning has that Sabbath bluesy feel.
