Rank The Theocracy Album Covers
Theocracy is one of my favorite bands and I love (most of) their album covers.
1. Ghost Ship
Just looks awesome. It's my current google profile pic.
2. Theocracy
Really cool idea for an album cover and executed very well.
3. As The World Bleeds
Visually amazing but not as good as the other two.
4. Mirror Of Souls
Just boring, but has more going on then...
5. Mosaic
Very plain. Not bad just not amazing like the top two.

5. Mosaic
Agree, pretty simple
4. Ghost Ship
Does look really cool, but I prefer the others
3. Theocracy
Agree with your points
2. As the World Bleeds
Love the idea, metaphor, how it looks...
1. Mirror of Souls
Listen to the title track (their best song btw) and you'll understand why I'm placing this here.

1) Mirror of Souls
2) Mosaic
3) Theocracy
4) Ghost Ship
5) As the World Bleeds
Ghost Ship and ATWB had covers by Felipe Machado Franco, whose work isn't exactly universally acclaimed, even among power metal fans. Ghost Ship was surprisingly decent though, but not nearly enough.

1. Ghost Ship
2. Mosaic (It’s simple, but it fits the title and doesn’t look cheesy like a lot of power metal).
3. Theocracy
4. Mirror of Souls
5. As the World Bleeds (this one looks ok at a smaller size, but I have the vinyl and it just isn’t very good when you analyze it).

Re: Rank The Theocracy Album Covers
I wouldn't call the cover of Mosaic "simple". Each piece of the sepia colored tiles has something different going on it.

Funny thing is, I love to hear criticism. Some artist can be really thin skinned, but it helps me be better at what I do. A lot of people love that cover, but I think it has more to do with the song than the actual art. Interesting thing is, they've never done a shirt of it, and instead opted to use the art for Laying the Demon to Rest.

Yeah, I agree about the song being why. The cover does look good but the main reason why it's my favorite cover from them is because it shows part of the song.deathisgain wrote:StevenCressler wrote:CTR if you don't get why he said this he made the cover to Mirror of Soulsdeathisgain wrote:Well you are on my enemies list now.Christian Thrash Rules wrote:Theocracy is one of my favorite bands and I love (most of) their album covers.

Also I don't know if anyone else does this but when I listen to music I see and feel what the album cover looks like. Like when I'm listening to ATWB those songs feel like the red blood and the songs from Ghost Ship feel like the blue water. Does that make sense?

The more I've listened to Theocracy the more I feel they have a lot of Thrash elements. They're like a power progressive thrash metal or something. You can hear it in songs like Nailed(reminds me of Blackened), Laying The Demon To Rest, Stir The Embers and many more.

I'd say that's more groove? Idk, it's very heavy but it's not that fast.Christian Thrash Rules wrote:What about the intro riff? Thrash isn't always super fast. Countdown To Extinction - Megadeth. Mulligan Stew from Human Sacrifice - Vengeance Rising.StevenCressler wrote:I'd say that's more groove? A few times. I'm near Atlanta, so when they played around here, I'd go. I mainly talked to Matt and Shawn and a little bit to Val.
