That crown moulding looks awesome. What a great transformation. Great use of space. How many floor plans did you go through before deciding on this one?

Around 5 different plans and then I tweaked the final plan a few times as I went along with the job lol. I can’t take credit for the moulding…I had a buddy of my mine who is a carpenter do that and hang the cabinets…he is a whiz at that stuff. I just basically tore my old kitchen apart haha. I’m good at breaking things. Thanks for the compliments!

I got my 18yr old daughter onto cubing about 10 years ago. She has 20-25 cubes now. Her average speed time for a 3x3 is around 45 seconds, which is crazy fast for the average person but very slow compared to competitions.

The ones in the background she just got today for Christmas. These are the most difficult ones yet. She solved the 6x6 already, but is having trouble with the 7x7 and the new weird shaped one.

You ever solved a cube? I got my dad into cubing shortly after I learned. 20-25 is pretty good, I think that's similar to my collection... which I really haven't used in a while lol. Almost wish I hadn't spent so much money on them, but I'm sure I'll use them again someday.

Correct. It used to be the title for Petra fans. Not sure if anyone besides me still uses it.

I was just thinking reading one of the Petra album rankings and it crossed my mind that Petra was Pethead's favorite band and then I realized... "wait... I think I'm onto something" lol

As we move into 2024 I expect uber craziness. Something to keep in prayer about.

When I was into gospel magic I learned how to solve a cube. I learned an older method and got it down to 2 minutes or so; I was never fast enough to use it on stage for a routine. Emily took it and went further. She learned some of the newer methods (C.H.O.P.??). That weird shaped one is a megaminx. She hadn't asked for that one; i just had to purchase one more for the free shipping.

I think you're talking about CFOP. One thing you can tell her is Megaminxes, at least for most of it, are really just a more complicated version of a 3x3, most of the algorithms are pretty similar.

Steven, I was wrong. Her new cube is called a Curvy (or Butterfly) Helicopter Cube. She's getting a megaminx for her birthday.
