Nailed the solo pretty well, better than most of the Megadeth guitar players since Marty.

Really good, Broderick and Kiko both do this great. Dave picks guys who can play. He sounds a lot like Dave though which is cool.

Chris Broderick is a robot, as mechanical as it comes, and definitely comes closest. I thought he did the best job.

Kiko was one of my favorite guitar players when he was with Angra and is an amazing, diverse player but he definitely messed with this solo quite a bit. He didn't try to nail it down, which is fine. I just didn't like what he did to it.

Teemu is better with it than Kiko IMO.

I don't know why Chris gets labeled like that, his finger picking isn't robotic and he did great on Endgame.

For me, because I spent years listening to his work in Jag Panzer. I really enjoyed that band and they created some of my favorite albums in those years (Thane to the Throne!) but his guitar solos, while technically amazing were only occasionally memorable. His classical training makes him a master of the highest level but there wasn't much artistry in what he did. When he joined Megadeth I knew he could play anything but he just never had the melodic sensibility to write truly memorable solos. Kiko and his counterpart Rafael Bittencourt did that constantly in Angra. Just a different kind of guitar player.

That said, it's been ages since I heard Endgame. Are there any particularly memorable solos from Chris on that album? I never bought Th1rt3en or Super Collider. I'm probably mischaracterizing his Megadeth years knowing so little.

Any Deth album is guaranteed to have great guitar work. So it’s really just a matter of preference.

I’ll say it again: Super Collider is underrated.
