Volume (fuzzed out stoner/doom rock)

A friend I met at church is the vocalist/guitarist of Volume who play fuzzy, "stoner" doom rock - and do it quite well IMO!  Check 'em out!  I'm not sure about the other member(s), but at least Patrick's a devout believer so I'd put this in the "safe secular" scene if you need to categorize. They just released an EP entitled Requesting Permission To Land and have got a Kickstarter for a new release in the works.

Having Scott Reeder of Fu Manchu on drums is a plus.

I’m into stoner/doom! 

Bands like: Kyuss, The Obsessed and Goatsnake.

I can hear a huge Blue Cheer influence.

Another stoner/fuzz band that I discovered not too long ago is “Snail”. It’s fronted by Mark Johnson who played bass on The Crucified’s s/t album.
