NP: Vengeance - The Unreleased First Mix…I like this so much better than the original. I like the rawness and the slightly different track order. IMO, it flows better and I believe it was what the band originally wanted.

THIS !  

Just the slower tracks like Burn, Ascension or Mulligan´s stew work better on the "original" mix of the 1988 release.

Vengeance Rising: Once Dead

This is the VR that’s been rocking my face the most lately.

Tourniquet - Drowning Machine. Starts off good but then has a few duds imho. Not sure where to place it but probably bottom shelf. It's not a bad record tho, at all, the others are just better. It's in a league with GaM and AB, a notch below CtC and MVoaTR.

Love this album as much as ”Being Towards A River “…maybe a little more.

The Brave-Tomorrow

Tourniquet - Where Moth And Rust Destroy. I am a bit on the fence about this one. It's got some bangers but some duds as well. I like it quite a bit. Somewhere in the middle.

Now I am through with the discog. The first three are a league of their own.

Vanishing Lessons and Crawl To China are solid efforts after guys departure and a new chapter with a new style. I prefer CtC over VL but I dig both records, it's just not "classic" Tourniquet. More groove metal than thrash.

MVoaTR and WMaRD were back to metal, with a doomy touch. Also very nice records, even if they can't touch the first three. I can vibe to them.

AB and GaM are very good as well, and again a bit different. More classic thrash if you get what I mean. They have a few flaws but overall solid stuff.

I have to say I am impressed with the quality of this discography. As an old school stan I was quick to dismiss everything after POD without giving the newer stuff a fair chance. I just now realise they are all great records that can hold their own and I will forthwith appreciate them alongside the classic three first records, which will always hold a very special place in my heart.

Vultures Gathering - The Hunt
Might be my Christian aoty so far.

I just wish the production was bit crisper. It sounds a little muddled sometimes.

I’m having trouble picking my Christian AotY. There are several vying for that spot.

Right now I'm tied between Adorned Graves and Wytch Hazel

Listened to Unashamed discog. I wanted to like it because I am a sucker for the youth crew aesthetic, but this just isn't good hardcore, musically.

True but I really like the feel of the album. Adorned Graves is great and Sacrificium is a contender.

I need to spend more time with Adorned Graves.

Plus, Plague of the Ungodly, Adorned Graves, Vultures Gathering, and Crucible Divine could all find themselves higher up with more time. 

This year started off slow for Christian metal, but it’s picked up lately. Nothing has grabbed me to quite the extent some of last year’s best did, though. (E.g. Preterist, All Things Fallen, Reign of Glory, Saint).

I listened to Uni-SEF discog. One of the best Christian punk projects I ever heard.

After that, on to Vengeance Rising discog, I listened to Destruction Comes and Human Sacrifice back to back. Even if I remain a die hard DC stan, I have to admit that HS is objectively better. If you find DC monotonous, try starting with Countless Corpses, you will find that the second half of the record is quite diverse.

A great assessment Rae…For me personally, I would switch CTC and VL and of the classic first 3, I would bump POD slightly above PS. 

Tourniquet’s whole discography is top notch IMO…and their least popular album would compete over other bands’ best work.
