The opening sequence of drums sound like cannons! Then the main riff kicks in and headbanging commences. And the solo rips.
Metallica sound very hungry on this record. They’ve not sounded this good since the Black Album.

Excellent stuff. I loved Hardwired...To Self Destruct as an album, and I think this one is going to up things even further.

Some fans are criticizing this song, but I am loving the direction the band is taking with the two new songs. I am eager to hear the rest of the album. I have been Metallica fan since 1987. There have been some ups and down, but overall I respect what the band has accomplished and I fully support their continued musical evolution.

I love it!!!
I have been a Metallica fan since their beginning but I don't care for everything they've done
So looking forward to the new album on April 14
Because I am not rich, I will not be seeing them on this tour

I heard the first single they put out. But I'm going to wait until the whole album comes out for the rest.

I thought Lux AEterna was okay. Did remind me of Kill Em All a little, but the production was way too polished to give me the same energy that KeA had.

Unless they go back to analog recording, it will always be super polished.

Well...yeah. That's a given.
As much as I love modern metal and current technology for recording, some bands just sound better with those older techniques.

It's okay guys. You can say they suck now. This could've been a good song if it was about four minutes in length, changed its tempo up a bit rather than staying on that same plateau, and wasn't so darn repetitive and a few things were changed around with a few layers added here and there for spice as it moved along. After a few listens though, the chorus's hook snags at the mouth for sure. The elements are there but they've become a sausage machine. And the videos are rubbish too.
