Patient Number 9

Has anyone snagged the latest offering of Ozzy's?  What are your thoughts on the album as a whole?

His previous album was a bit of a letdown for me, but the songwriting and musicianship on this are outstanding!  He has definitely created a modern masterpiece.

I listened to one song so far, the title track with Jeff Beck.  I thought it was horrible.  Haven't had much interest in checking out the rest.  I'll check out a few more songs before completely writing it off.

I need to check it out, but haven’t gotten around to it yet. I don’t think I’ve listened to the entirety of an Ozzy album after No More Tears.

It's really good, Iommi and Zakk are great and he sounds better than the last album which may be all studio effects.

I've only heard two songs from the new album but thought they sounded quite a bit better than some of the material from his last few albums.

I thought his last few albums were lackluster the first few times I heard them.  While listening this week, I noticed that, while they had taken a more modern metal approach, also had the classic Sabbath vibe.  Once I heard that, these newer albums really began to grow on my quickly.
