Timeless Rage (power metal)

I saw these guys posted on a Christian metal FB page and they sound pretty good!  Andreas89, whaddya know about these German power-metallers?  (I assume they've been on your radar for some time haha!)

The singer sounds like Klaus Meine. The music is decent but way too drenched in keyboards for my taste. The guitars are way too low in the mix. Potential here, though, definitely.

Pretty typical symphonic metal with a vocalist that sounds like Klaus. Not bad but nothing original and I got burned out on this sound.

They don't sound particularly rageful...

He sounds like Klaus from the Scorpions a bit, but sounds exactly like the singer from Stairway.

Yep, this is right up my alley. Always nice to hear a German band nail this style, most of the time they don't really know how to incorporate this level of symphonic bombast into power metal.

Production wise it doesn't sound too slick, which gives it a nice touch. And if you think the guitars are too low in the mix, let me tell you about a band called Twilight Force   This is acceptable.

And I don't get the fuss about the vocals. There are way weirder sounding vocalists in power metal, like Mikael Holst (Timeless Miracle), Daniele Bisi (Fogalord) or, and I'm serious here, Andre Matos.

Wuthering Heights anyone?

I always thought Ramon from Secret Sphere had odd, exceptionally wimpy vocals (thought musically one of my favorite bands). Interestingly he sounds way better on his return.

This guy sounds fine.

Yeah, the Wuthering Heights vocalist is different, as well as the dude from Falconer but I enjoy both bands. I don't think anyone was saying the Timeless Rage vocalist is bad, just that he is a bit like Klaus.
