I was hyped about this until I watched the YouTube video and realized this was just going to be more conspiracy theories.

I am very much anti-conspiracy theory. I will be passing on this.

Hmm not bad.  At first listen it doesn't seem as cool sounding as the World View material... but I would certainly have to hear more before giving a solid onion.

Seemed a little more "political" than conspiracy driven...but who knows with these artistic types.  Seems like many of them have to feel their art champions some cause.  For the most part I don't expect good social or political commentary from artists, so I tend to ignore it.

Yeah, I don't want anything political in my music at all.

Just to clarify, I was talking about the YouTube video he made promoting making the video. That was what led me to believe that the album would be very conspiracy driven.

Since conspiracies seem to be spoilers these days, I want to know how the music is and it's hard to tell overall.

I don't see how this has anything to do with conspiracy theories.  It's political but it's also advancing a more Biblical worldview which I of course have no problem with.  Anyway, I like it because it sounds like prime Queensryche.

In the video where he is talking (not the song) he clearly is trumpeting the "oh my God, they're coming for our freedom" crap that Christians have been spewing (and cashing in on people's fears) for decades.

Yes

If my thoughts were racist, homophobic or chauvinistic, then I would say no.

I think a lot of people are upset today because they don't like having to actually consider how their actions affect others.

There are a lot of White Christians who are prejudice against anyone who isn't white.....it's a huge problem and they fail to see it in themselves. They are the ones bellyaching about having less freedom because they are being called out on it.

There are major issues on both sides of the fence.

But.  

As a white Christian who knows a lot of other white Christians, I can tell you from personal experience that there is an undercurrent of racism.

If you have skin, there exists the potential for racism and racist tendencies. No race has cornered the market on this grievous sin, and to foolishly single out "Whitey" is the very definition of "Wokeness"...never mind your pretentious protestations and posturing.

Yes, there are racist people in all groups, but Christians are supposed to be above that...and yet regretfully so many aren't.

And despite your childish name calling, I am none of those things you mentioned. You dont know me, so you wouldn't know that I personally overcame many prejudices I had accumulated due to personal experiences and that I worked on changing my own thought life.

But regretfully, you have the same  Christian reaction a lot do to anything they disagree with ... belittle and call names.

It's sad that large numbers of Christians don't realize how truly rude, arrogant, intolerant, and hateful they are.

That's what is ruining the churches.

There are so many of them that talk like Trump about anyone that they disagree with. They spew hate and vile comments about anyone they deem to be a "liberal".

Many right-wingers we see today are as bad as anyone on the far left.

It's our choice to avoid an artist's music if we don't like their political lyrics or personal life.  But that disdain about Michael's views was then used as a launching pad against an entire group of people in this thread.   That was unprovoked and uncalled for.  

If you don't want to listen to Drive's music because of his political views, fine, but not all of us feel that way.  And if you think that only proves that we're hateful and bigoted or whatever, that's your own internal logic but just because you say or believe it doesn't make it true.
