Rank the Seventh Avenue Albums!
I didn’t want mothy’s homework from the other day to be in vain, so let’s rank this great power metal band.
1. TIE: Terium and Eternals
I can’t really pick between these two. Every time I think I picked one as my favorite, I spin the other one and change my mind. So many great songs on these and no bad songs. These guys were firing on all cylinders on both albums. Most of my favorite SA songs come from these albums (Authorities, Hands of the King, Remission, Infinite King). SO GOOD.
3. Between the Worlds
This is where SA became top-tier to me. Great songs here, but it’s a slight step down from the next two. But it’s a heck of a stepping stone to their masterpieces.
4. Southgate
This one was a grower after hearing Terium. But time has been kind to it and there’s some great stuff here. For many other bands, this album would be at the top. But SA’s later stuff is just so dang good.
5. Tale of Tales
A solid album but they weren’t quite there yet. Some great tunes and no real clunkers, but just not as outstanding.
I’ve never heard Rainbowland due to the prohibitive prices for the CD.
Have at it!

They're not exactly top shelf power metal (far from it actually), but I've given their final four albums so many chances that I'm comfortable ranking them.
1) Between the Worlds
2) Eternals
3) Southgate
4) Terium

Re: Rank the Seventh Avenue Albums!
SA is probably my second favorite European-style power metal band, just ahead of Blind Guardian.
But I’m not an aficionado of the genre. I mainly know the big names. On the whole I prefer thrash and classic metal.

I haven't owned all of their albums, and I'm not a huge fan of power metal. But I absolutely dig the Eternals album.

Well I think they get a little more criticism by some then they deserve:
It was a blast going back through the entire catalog:
My order would be.
1.Tales of Tales
2. Eternals
3. Southgate (hard to pick between this and Eternals)
4. Between the Worlds
5. Terium
6. Rainbowland. Musically I put it up their with Eternals (more raw but still really good) but young Herbies vocals just arent very strong so it has to be at the bottom.

Re: Rank the Seventh Avenue Albums!
I'm in the same boat as others, I don't frequent power metal but when I do, Seventh Avenue is the band I'm listening to
1. Terium (One of my all time favorite albums)
2. Southgate (Probably my next most spun by them)
3. Tales Of Tales (Temptation is such a fantastic track!)
4. Eternals
5. Between The Worlds
I have never owned Rainbowland

Probably the only band I can think of that got better with each album. Both Terium and Eternals are incredible. The others are pretty solid, but do have some weaker songs on them.
1 - Terium
2 - Eternals
3 - Between The Worlds
4 - Goodbye EP
5 - Southgate
6 - Tale Of Tales
7 - Rainbowland

5 - Southgate
6 - Tale Of Tales
7 - Rainbowland
