MASS - any thoughts?

Over the past year or several months I've been checking out MASS. I got their latest CD Japanese pressing of When 2 Worlds Collide and it is really good and I think they are working on a new album. I don't think they are a Christian band but the members believe in God but I'm not sure if they are Christians and many of their lyrics are in that direction. They only have around 8 or so albums out. I first heard of them in Metal Edge around 1988 or 89 then there was a blurb that Michael Sweet is producing their 1989 album Voices in the Night. Anyone here like this band?

I love their earlier material.

I really wanted to believe they were/are a Christian band.
Their live performance shows they are not Monkey Biz

Definitely NOT a Christian band. However, Christian music fans in the 80's and early 90's were notorious for trying to force the Christian label onto any band that had even the smallest amount of "spirituality" in ANY of their songs. It was pretty sad. Lots of bands with songs about mysticism, spirituality, or medieval times got lumped in.
