KK and Ripper's new band...

They've apparently recruited drummer Sean Elg from Cage. 

I guess Binks wasn't feeling up to it after all. Supposedly sustained a "wrist injury". 

Anyway Elg is a great drummer and the album should be a decent offering.

Thoughts?

It certainly looks/sounds like KK hasn't lost any of his skills.  I would certainly give the album a shot, but I'm not a huge Ripper fan... not sure I could take a full album of his vocals.

I like what I’ve heard so far!

KK belongs in Priest though...

I'll check it out, I like Ripper for the most part and think the Jugulator is a great album.

It would make the most sense to get him back in the band to play his own parts live. 

The problem is that Glenn has pretty much been the leader and main songwriter of the band since the late 70s. Even though he is no longer a touring member, he apparently still calls the shots. It would be up to him and their management and unfortunately I don't see it happening.

It only makes sense if it works for the members of the band.  Nothing lasts forever and band members come and go.  Band dynamics and human nature are delicate things.  Some times the chemistry just is not there anymore and it is best to part ways.  The situation with Stryper and Tim Gaines is a great example.  I loved Tim with Stryper, but the band looks so much more relaxed and happier with him out of the band.
