What are you listening to right now? (II)

They do, I cant find alot at the moment but they seem to have a constant message through alot of their songs. Their next album is right up my alley, looks to be about D-Day during WW2

Right on. I'll have to dig a little deeper but I like their sound.

I havent found much yet but listened to a interview about the upcoming disc and they just seem like awesome dudes. Alot of pictures played int he youtube interview have the lead singer wearing a cross so who knows.

Good stuff! Melodic black metal with some death metal. This song is the catchiest from their newest album.

Had never heard this thrash band vocals are a little different

Trying to like the vocal style, its slowly growing on me.

Zao - Where Blood and Fire Bring Rest

Was supposed to see them play at a local church during this tour but there van broke down and couldn't make it. So bummed. The fill in band cussed all through there lyrics and tried to fight a few of us for calling them out for cussing in a church, what an evening

Classica - II

This album is much more mature sounding than their first (which is itself quite good!) with IMO better written songs and production. It's some really good stuff!

Sanctifica - Negative B

Hated this as a followup to Spirit of Purity, just because of the change in musical direction but it later grew on me and is incredible the more I listened to it.

^I was never able to connect with that one...  It's not bad, though all the songs sorta blend together and the clean vocals are a bit weak IMO.  It's been a while since I listened to it all the way through though; I should do that again soon.

Its definitely different. To me to enjoy it i treat it like the Blaze Bayley Iron Maiden years. Separate it from the band name and its really good, at least to me

I hear ya.  I don't mind the fact that they had a major style-change though that other style just isn't my jam (yet!).  Lengsel did something similar with The Kiss... The Hope and that one I quite like.

That one did have alot stronger clean vocals.

Agreed.  It was also extremely eclectic and odd, whereas Negative B is pretty consistently the same style throughout its entirety.  The video for The Pale People is pretty creative too!

You know, I never even really attempted to get into them because many of their albums are incredibly difficult to find.  If they ever released a box-set or something, I'd probably be first in line to buy it though because I totally dig their kind of zany/bizarre - in a good way - style.
