Recent Purchases (Christian)

Heh of course. I know that just because a band's new style doesn't do it for me anymore, doesn't mean that noone should be interested

Anyway, there me goes agains:

What are the chances of you coming to a cd store and find all those sealed classic albums (I saw them randomly, I was not exactly looking for these releases)?

That's what I love about São Paulo. You can find anything.
I got them all. (except the barbie table, my daughter got it on her birthday...)

And soon the brazilian pressing of last Narnia album at stores too...

Trouble isn't my cup of tea, but Hellion made a great work releasing the cd's in brazilian market. The same with Voice Music and Stryper/Narnia releases...

I just ordered Classica's 3-CD anthology set.  They were a Hungarian progressive/power metal band with Christian themes for those unfamiliar.

I finally got Sacrificium's The Avowal of the Centurion in the mail

As far as I know they are a Christian band. I met them at Elements of Rock in Switzerland in 2016 when Hilastherion and Sacrificium both played there.

Cool.  Some of their members are in other bands that on the surface don't seem very Christian so I wasn't sure.

Well, I'm not sure either. But to be fair, I've also been in some bands that didn't seem very Christian. And I'm more than likely to play in some non-Christian bands in the future too. I don't know about these other bands, so I can't tell where they are on the spectrum of Christian <-> Non-Christian

Ha, fair enough!  I'll have to track down their lyrics and check 'em out further, though at the moment I'm already over my music budget so it's probably better I don't find MORE awesome bands whose CDs I want to buy haha!

I pre-ordered the new Irgalom CD. I'm looking forward to hearing that Vaakevandring cover too! Their Vardoger cover from the previous album is fantastic.

After three Stryper concerts, I could finally get this.

I was right in front of Michael on stage, and I knew it would come on my direction. I had to push aside a couple of guys to make sure I would get it, though. 

I had two weeks off, and just before that I bought

Gloryhammer - Legends from Beyond the Galactic Terrorvortex

It's almost annoying how good the music actually is. Would have been easier to dismiss this as silly drivel (which it still is of course).

^I'm really curious about that one. What would be the clean-non clean vocal ratio? Just because I can stand growls 'n' grunts nowadays doesn't mean that I want my music without any cleans.

Anyway, bought another album.
