Stephen Pearcy-Smash
Did anyone get this or hear it? A couple songs are very Ratty but he channels his inner Zeppelin and Aerosmith quite a bit too. Much better then I expected.

I listened to a few tracks but it didn't really float my boat. I have to confess that I've never been a huge fan of his vocals.

I can take him in small doses. I will say that unlike many of his fellow 80's rock singers his voice seemed to hold up pretty well.

I like it a lot. If you like Ratt or Arcade, I would think this would be right up your alley.

And he's talking a Ratt reunion.

This is by far his best solo effort imo. Looking forward to the Ratt reunion without Bobby Blotzer, they finally wrestled the Ratt name away from him in court. He has been a thorn in the side all the other members.

It's sad that's happened to another band. These guys need to realize they're getting old and bury the hatchet.

Just one man's opinion, but no Robin, no Ratt.

Re: Stephen Pearcy-Smash
I reviewed it on my site at www.glitter2gutter.blogspot.com
It is really a pretty good record, but it is NOT Ratt. Hard rock, yes; Ratt, no. The songwriting is not quite what you'd expect from Ratt, and Pearcy drops a few f*bombs here and there that were never a part of the lyrical equation for Ratt. I like the record, however...

Was fun watching him in concert last May at a smallish venue.

I know his bass player...at least his old bass player. Not sure who is touring with him now.

Has he grown up yet? I was disappointed with Infestation because the lyrics were still in the gutter. I mean these guys are in their 50s and that's still the best they can do? I loved Ratt's sound and Pearcy's vocals. I'd buy records from him in a heartbeat if he could sing about anything but his sexual exploits.

Skip this record if the lyrics are your issue. They are definitely not better...possibly even worse in some cases. Read my review...the link is in an above post.

Yeah, I ignore his lyrics. Arcade was better in that department.

I don't listen to secular music for the lyrics
