I wouldn't say first but I would say best...

can't tell you how many bands (or particular records) I have checked out and really liked ... and then the vocals come in and it just ruins it

one of the earliest I can think of is Living Sacrifice Non-existent and Inhabit. I'm sure the music is great but I could never get into those records because of the vocals, ugh...maybe I should give those a shot again...

anyway, Wisdom has THE voice for it...
