Its been too long.......... *sad face*

I bought a FiiO hi-def music player a few months ago and love it!  I've been redoing some of the rips of my CDs as many of them were done in 192 kbps to save room on my previous, now dead Zune.  I've been ripping a lot of CDs in the past few days.

One of the things I noticed was that it has been a LONG time since we've heard anything from Lordchain and Rob Rock.  I know--they aren't connected, but that was the artists's CDs that I was redoing yesterday.

It has been 6 years without a Lordchain album.  They've been redoing their home studio, so nothing new will come until that project is finished.  I hate it, but that is just what is happening in their world.

It has been even longer since we've had a solo Rob Rock project.  Or Driver project.  We've had an Impelletteri album, but Rob has been pretty quiet.  Is he even still trying to do music?

Rob's priorities are his day job at land scaping I think, family and his commitments with Impellitteri.  It's  been a long time since the last Driver album in 2012 and the last solo album in 2007. I know Joshua is revamping his band and is working on rerecording Intense Defense. I'm not sure if Rob will be redoing some vocals or not or if he will be doing anything with the new Joshua album. 

From what I understand, Chris Impellitteri won't wait as long for the next album as he did with Venom and Wicked
Maiden. I suspect there will be another Impellitteri album by 2018.

I miss Rob's solo stuff. That, to me, has been his best work. I just don't care for Impellitteri. I try, but I just can't get into 'em. Driver was okay. Those two records had a few good songs. But if I want Rob Rock, I'm going back to those four solo albums. I'm usually pulling out Holy Hell, which is still easily my favorite RR project ever. I wish he'd get back in the studio again. But life with a family has a way of zapping free time....

Pretty much my thoughts as well.  I can only tolerate so much Impellitteri before the "speediness" of it wears on me, and I liked probably about 2/3 of both of those Driver albums.  By far my favorite Rob Rock stuff has been his solo albums, I love them all.

While I do love some Impelletteri, I have to agree that Rob's solo stuff was the best.  "Holy Hell" and "Garden Of Chaos" are still big favorites of mine.  I would prefer for Rob to work on his solo career more and Impelletteri less.  With my opinion and about $5, you can get some decent coffee at Starbucks.

 at the "bang your head" festival. He did a great set of his solo stuff
with a very good show!
