Any fans of Ratt here?
Been a big fan of Ratt since the release of Out of the Cellar. Many glam bands were only known for one or two great albums, but (in my opinion) Ratt released three, straight fantastic albums with Cellar, Invasion of Your Privacy and Dancing Undercover. Their 4th and 5th albums, Reach for the Sky and Detonator, were still pretty good. The 6th release, self-titled, wasn't great and went in a softer direction but it wasn't terrible (though I'm sure some might disagree). Then, more back to form with their last release, Infestation, which I really like.
Like Judas Priest, Ratt has eluded me time and again on tour and I have never seen them live. Just the other night in Cincinnati, they played a really solid 17-song setlist and now their off to the Sturgis Bike Rally. Anyone else into them?

I listened to Ratt a lot from the S/T EP thru Dancing Undercover but not after that. I did see them live on the Invasion tour. The band was amazing but Pearcy might be the single worst live vocalist I've ever seen. He even made Vince Neal look good.
IMO, the band officially ended at the passing of Robin Crosby.

I love their sound. Easily one of my favorite bands from the 80s. I listen to about 12 songs from them because their lyrics bugged me.

I could have seen them a couple nights ago at Sturgis. I'm content with seeing The Stephen Pearcy Band a few months ago.

I really liked them when Out Of The Cellar came out.
I listened to that and the 1st Icon album more than any others that year.
Invasion was also a fantastic record and I really liked Dancing Undercover.
After that, the material got weaker and weaker.
Plus these days I'm picky about bands like this because of the lyrics.
I saw them in 2000. It was a very disappointing show. Only one guitar player - Warren - and he wasn't shredding, he was into blues at that time. I love blues but hearing "Round & Round" without that amazing dual solo was just cringe.

The EP and Out of the Cellar are top-notch. OotC is one of the best albums of the genre and the lyrics on that one don’t bother me quite as much as some others—including some of Ratt’s other stuff.

One of those bands I like enough to put together a playlist of but don't need the albums.

Great band, they were my first concert ever. Saw them in a theater back in the early mid 80's (83 or 84?) with Bon Jovi opening for them (Out of the Cellar tour)

I love the 80’s stuff. Warren DeMartini was one of the best on lead guitar.
