Tons of Great Stuff Coming Soon!
Dang it seemed like there was this lull in good new tunes and then all of the sudden I'm aware of a bunch of new releases from bands I love! Anyone else feel the same? What are you looking forward to in the near future? For me...
Alcest
Departe
Far Beyond
Ikarian (not sure how "soon" this will be...)
Les Discrets
Nathanael Larochette
Sonata Arctica
40 Watt Sun

Yes, the interesting upcoming releases have been piling up lately. List-time!
In chronological, then alphabetical order (only the ones with release date):

DGM
Orphaned Land & Amaseffer (collaboration)
Michael Sweet
Twilight Force
Serious Black
Narnia
Power Quest (EP)
Sonata Arctica
Hammerfall (not sure how much I'm looking forward to this one, still interesting)

Re: Tons of Great Stuff Coming Soon!
I am more excited about the new Michael Sweet and Narnia albums than anything right now. I will probably get the new Skillet, but the samples I've heard sound weak.
My favorite discs this year have been by the Dogs Of Peace, The Union Of Sinners And Saints, and Stairway. So, I doubt there is going to be much the latter half of this year that really excites me other than Narnia and Mr. Sweet.

Perhaps we should start a Christian thread of similar idea... Because I am really excited for upcoming releases from Hesychast, Wovenhand, WarHorse, Throne Of Awful Splendor...

Oh man, how could I forget In The Woods...? I'm listening to their two new songs on youtube now and it is GOOOOOOOOOD. Their new singer sounds great. I think this is going to be one heck of a comeback album.

New Alcest? I'll have to check that out. Didn't really like the last album, but the one before I adore.

Supposedly it's going "back to their roots" and is more metal than their last (which I seem to be the minority here but I absolutely loved it).
