ARGH! My Kingdom for a WiiU! I've been wanting one for awhile but don't have the funds just yet. Though they will probably come down in price now that Nintendo is launching a new console. 

Though I pretty much just want Mario Maker at this point. lol

My son is almost 12. Which would you recommend?

Unsure. I know very little about these games.

But if you want one, better download it quick. Others might download without commenting. Also, non-CMR members might find these codes by doing internet searches. I just didn't want to make them private and have to manage a bunch of private messages.

Swords & Soldiers II is a colourful and cartoonish "strategy" game with some "tower defense" type of gameplay.

Runbow is a multiplayer focused game where you run from start to finish and try to win your friends, and the color on the background makes the platforms either appear or disappear, or something like that.

Affordable Space Adventures is a space puzzle adventure game with a bit of "spaceship simulation" in the gameplay. It's said to be best when played with two players as one player controls the spaceship movements and the other player uses the Gamepad to do the "spaceship simulation" ... or something like that. This is quite an expensive game on the Nintendo eShop so in terms of monetary value it might be a good pick.

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse is a cartoonish action adventure platformer. It's somewhat non-linear. I loved this game. For "prude" people it might contain too much "bikini-stuff", but for those who don't mind this is a hugely entertaining game.

Freedom Planet reminds quite a bit of the old Sonic the Hedgehog games. It's a fast platformer.

Darksiders II is a 3D action adventure somewhat like 3D Zelda games but with way more adult tone. You go through dungeons and explore the overworld. It's grim and gritty. You play as one of the four horsemen, DEATH. I think it's rated M in the US, so there's that to consider.
