Hello everybody,

I've lost all PM sent and received this last week and i'm almost sure to not deleted it myself, do you have same problem?

Edit: it seems concern all members who deleted their accounts recently, why their sent PM are affected too?

One thing I like about the forum I admin is you still get to keep that stuff, it just says "deleted member" next to their name.

In the previous CMR it was like that, sadly that incarnation got hacked.

I remember that. I was there. Someone posing as anonymous...

It wasn't just someone posting as "anonymous".  It apparently was the group that called themselves Anonymous--the famous hacker clan.

I doubt it. Anonymous was the fall guy. Someone else hacked and used that name.

With Anonymous' declared hatred of Christianity and as large as our community had grown, it is more likely that the actual group did have something to do with it.  It would not have taken the whole group to take down a message board.  A handful of users could have done the hack.

But, it is all over now.  So, in the end, it matters not.

It doesn't matter, but Anonymous didn't do the hack.

For one, they boast too much on their hacks (every hack) and the CMR wasn't on the list.  For two, they're more of a corporate/political hacking network, and while some major (organizational) Christian sites were targeted, they've seriously got better things to do than delete an obscure Christian metal account on a "create your own forum" domain.  Not enough people would see the destruction.

According to 4chan, all anyone really has to do to join is hack and use the Anonymous name/logo and "don't get caught"...  or do nothing but buy a Guy Fawkes mask and stand in the Million Mask March, so in a way, you're right.

...but again, I seriously doubt this was ever a organizational attack assigned (to a hacker or hackers) by the Anonymous group.  It was probably someone's resume to join, someone using the group name as an alias, or, for all we know, it was one of the several previous members banned who threatened to hack us.
