Re: I miss bands like this
I only ever got into their first, "S/T" album. That album is Thrash Metal gold!
Apart from that - I never got into em. I didn't like their immediate departure from Thrash Metal into Death Metal. Then later Metalcore.
But that first album ... if they had stayed in that vein ... they would have become one of my favorite bands!

I love Reborn and everything they have done since.
I like the s/t too. I like the music but with no disrespect intended I couldn't get into the vocals of the second and third albums.

The s/t is by far my favorite, but I like 'em all.

To me, LS was at their peak during Inhabit.
...but reborn is kind of djent'ish.
I'd be surprised if there weren't plenty of djentmetal and djentcore bands out there that sound similar.

The self titled, The Hammering Process and Conceived in Fire are great examples of metalcore done right. And these came out before the market was flooded with em. I'm quite sick of metalcore, but I still listen to these three albums.
....but I like Hammering and Conceived more than the ST.

Re: I miss bands like this
The self-titled is pure thrash and pre-dates metalcore by a good 3-4 years, so I think you mean Reborn in your list of 3 metalcore albums done right. It was one of the first Christian metalcore albums and one of those that helped usher in the genre's later mainstream success.
