Who's crazy for Vektor (Thrash)?
The band is so good! It's slightly blackened progressive Sci-Fi oriented Thrash with a pinch of video game aesthetics, topped with Death-esque scraming. I've seen them life on the 2nd. of Dec. and they kicked immensely. I can't recommend them high enough. And they can pull that off as good as on the album. Awesome!

This is a band I've had my eye on for a while. Haven't picked up anything yet - but that will probably soon change.

I don't care for the lyrics, but artistically this is a solid band.

No. Not in the sense that you may be thinking of.

I like Vektor a lot, too. I found out about them through a blog a few years ago (their Voivod-y logo caught my eye--"What a rip-off," I thought), checked them out, and was totally won over. I immediately bought their 2 albums from Heavy Artillery for suuuuper cheap, something like $16 for both including postage.
The one time I've seen them was in October of 2012. I drove through Hurricane Sandy as it hit Boston to get to the venue, which is in an always-busy part of town...except on this evening it was a ghost town: no traffic, almost no cars parked anywhere along the streets or in the lots, almost no pedestrians, and the venue was the only business that looked open for blocks in either direction. Despite public transportation also being shut down, a ton of people managed to find their way to the venue. Napalm Death and Exhumed were also on the bill, with Vektor opening. They were air-tight, and the venue didn't lose power...great show! I'm super happy to be going to see them again opening for Voivod in February, and hope that maybe they have some copies of the new album in tow with them.

The lyric are dark science fictional and I'd say somewhat atheistic. It feels a bit destructive at times.

Not "crazy" but it's a really good band Voivod's influences are visible in music and artwork but it's not plagiarism, it's a good thing.

Now I'm really curious. I'm a fan of Voivod, so I'm looking forward to checking these guys out!

A little in riff, but musical influence is very subtle. Graphic influences are more visibles

Nothing new here with this band. Voivod, Obliveon, DBC, I mean there are like a handful of bands that had done this already and were way better at it. To me bands like this are whats wrong with the new thrash scene, over produced and not really creative. I dunno to each their own though.
