Some great stuff in that list! Nice to see Britny Fox and Stryper both make it!
Kix deserves such a high place! That was nice too. Good stuff.

I know people think of G'n'R as having transcended the genre like Metallica transcended thrash, but they still should have been on the list, with Appetite taking the #1 spot.
And of course I think Bride, Whitecross, and maybe Guardian should have been on there somewhere. In a just world.

I agree about G'n'R. AFD is one of the best straight up sleeze metal, dirty rock albums of all time.

...and I hate the term " hair metal. " Because they lump soo much together. They lump great metal bands like WASP and great street metal bands like LA Guns with pop metal bands like Trixter and Firehouse.

Re: Rolling Stone-50 Greatest Hair Metal albums
Yeah, it's surprising not to see at least "Appetite for Destruction" on that list!
I don't like the term Hair Metal either. I prefer to call it by it's proper name. Glam Metal.
But that's just me. I understand when folks use the term and what not.

Nice to see Stryper, but honestly that is a strange list. I expected Def Leppard and Motley Crue and a few other standards, but Poison at #2? I'm not really a fan of the genre, so my opinion is of an outsider, but wasn't Poison one of the most despised and critically panned of the era? If we're talking popularity, Stryper should have placed higher. I mean half the albums above THWTD are much more obscure anyway.
Agreed that G'n'R should count.

Re: Rolling Stone-50 Greatest Hair Metal albums
The problem with lists like these is that they stop at 1992. There were plenty of great albums in this genre that came out later, like Ratt's Infestation and of course Stryper's No More Hell to Pay. Heck, they should have at least put Vince Neil's Exposed, Motley Crue S/T, and Winger's Pull on this list.

Would've liked to have seen Tora Tora's Surprise Attack and Roxx Gang's Things You've Never Done Before mentioned.
