Speaking Of Supergroups
If you could pick out of any band to make a band
You get the idea
Ill go first
Band Name: Silence Screams
[Yes the Rez album]
Lineup:
Lead Vocals: Steven Patrick (Holy Soldier)
Bass/Vocals: Steve Rowe (Mortification)
Lead Guitar: Larry Farkas (Vengeance Rising)
Rhythm Guitar/Vocals: Jimmy Brown (Deliverance)
Drums: Jayson Sherlock (Mortification)
They would play a style somewhere between
Tourniquet's Stop The Bleeding/ Recon's Behind Enemy Lines/ Detritus's If But For One

Wow! Both those bands: Silence Screams and BlastMaster look AWESOME!!!
I'd buy it!!!
My band would be:
Crimson Thunder
featuring:
Les Carlson - vocals
Eric Adams - vocals
yes, TWO vocalists!
Joey DeMaio - Bass
Robert Sweet - Drums
Craig Goldy - Guitar
David T. Chastain - Guitar

I was deciding between Carlsen and Patrick
for mine
But since weve already see Les live with Tourniquet, I thought I would picking something different

Re: Speaking Of Supergroups
Band: Butchered at birth
Steve Rowe lead and backing Vocals and bass.....early day vox only
Jayson sherlock.....is there anyone else that can make the sound this man makes on drums.....no.
Ian Arkley: Rhythm and lead Guitar and shared lead vocals and backing vocals
Maybe another guitarist but cant think of anyone so nah keep it a 3 piece
This band would play cannibal corpse covers
No but really something between early Mort and seventh angel would be pretty freaking awesome no?

I like these kind of threads... I could come up with a couple
Band Name: The Caffinated Cyclone and the Zipper Belts
Guitar / Vox - Jimmy Brown
Guitar/ Vox- Michael Pritzl
Bass - Duff McKagan
Drums- Dave Grohl
then as a treat id have this group do something together which would be called Jupiter On Mars
Guitar - Jimmy Brown
Vox - David Bowie
Drums - Dave Grohl
Bass - Manny Morales

"Supergroups" never have and never will work, too many egos clashing.

Re: Speaking Of Supergroups
I disagree
Traveling Wilburys was a supergroup they did alright. Them Crooked Vultures was a super group they did alright, Soundcity Players was considered a super group, they had fun too...

So true! Plus they often leave out the underrated mastermind behind all their success ... the songwriter.

By the way CW, I recorded some drum tracks for DC for him to practice or make an album with.
There's two of your people! : D

LOL - it would be funny if we just took the first 3 letters of the primary projects we're doing and compiled them to form the supergroup name.
(though Vials of Wrath and Grave Declaration couldn't be next to each other - viagra HAHA!!)
Criantgraevroravia?
Oraevrgracriviaant?
Either way, the logo would look like this.

Re: Speaking Of Supergroups
Hahaha. I've stared at that list I wrote for several minutes, trying to figure out what it might sound like. I bet it would be unimaginably awesome...assuming all eight of you could agree on one style.

Re: Speaking Of Supergroups
I don't have a name, but I would have
Guy Ritter (Tourniquet, Echo Hollow) - vocals
Jon Bodan (Halcyon Way, Final Judgment) - guitar, vocals
Jani Stefanovic (you name it, he's in it) - guitar, vocals
Albert Bell (Nomad Son, Forsaken, Sacro Sanctus) - bass
Ted Kirkpatrick (Tourniquet) - drums (and only drums)
All five are songwriters. I'd love to see what they come up with.

Band Name: 1968 (because it's classic rock)
Members:
Phil Keaggy - Guitar/Vocals
Michael Roe - Guitar/Vocals
(somebody) - Bass
(somebody) - Drums
(somebody else) - classic rock keyboard / organ type bits
I'm thinking a late 60's hard/classic rock vibe.
