Whats up with Liberty N Justice?
A few months ago they were talking about how they were working on a new EP called "Better than Maroon 5". However, i havent heard anything from them in months, their facebook page has been taken down, Justin Murr's twitter hasnt been updated since March, and the official website hasnt been updated in a couple of years (it doesnt even mention "The Vow", their newest album and the first as an actual band).

Last I heard (from Justin via Facebook) sounds like there will be 2 ep's coming out. If I remember right, he is waiting for Larry Worley to finish up vocals on a song. As far as The Vow, it was picked up by Retroactive Records for physical distribution. Justin is pretty active on Facebook, so if you get ahold of him there he could probably update you. These were just from what he has mentioned on Facebook.

I confess I kind of lost the interest in them since they have become a full band. I wasn't very keen on the singer. But I saw that things didn't work out with that singer...
Anyway, LnJ has evolved a lot in the last 11 years. The Cigar Chronicles was a really good album. Even the cover album wasn't that bad. And I am also a big fan of Hell is Coming for Breakfast and Chasing a cure (LP). I might get some interest in whatever the band does from now on.
What is this bedtter than Maroon 5? Another cover album?

Better Than Maroon 5 was tentatively planned for this fall. Elephant In The Room is planned for sometime next year.

No, I don't think it is. It is supposed to be an EP though, not a full album

So this EP is actually out now (since the end of March). I don't think it has been released in any physical format (likely just digital download). But you can hear the entire album on Spotify.
To me it sounds decidedly mellower than their last few albums. It's mostly an acoustic & ballad heavy effort (with a few funk influenced tracks, that I just can't get into at all). It's great to hear Larry Worley singing again, but I would have liked a few more rockers on the album.

Wow, I agree Staybrite, this isn't what I expect from LnJ.

I barely could get through the samples. Especially the way they did the vocals.
Re: Whats up with Liberty N Justice?
This will be the first LN'J album I haven't purchased since 2006's Soundtrack of a Soul.
I hope they come back with something a bit more rocking next time, it's not like I'm expecting metal from them, but the current EP is far from their normal hard rock fare.

Love the vocals, but it's a little on the light side. Turn tracks 1, 2 and 4 in to hard rock and it would be great.
Re: Whats up with Liberty N Justice?
Justin has said in the past few days that the next album will be LNJs final one.
Re: Whats up with Liberty N Justice?
Really sad to hear that, he's done some absolutely superb stuff.
