I am a structural engineer. I work at a small firm that designs mostly residential, multifamily and cladding support for commercial structures. I have been doing it since 1999.

Customer service rep in a DME (durable medical equipment) company. For those unfamiliar with DME: we do wheelchairs, oxygen concentrators, CPAP/BIPAP devices, walkers, hospital beds, etc.

Re: Living
I'm a financial investor/real estate owner.
God has been good to me over the years. I'm very thankful. I'm also able to stay home and raise my kids, as my job affords me the capacity to work from home.
So my hardest job is actually being stay at home daddy to a 10 year old son and a 4 year old daughter. They're both fans of Metal too heheh.
Anyway - yeah, I'm a financial investor/real estate owner. I purchase property from all over the USA. Then resell it after either sitting on it for the amount of time I feel compelled to by the Lord ... or build upon it and turn it into a different type of property. There's a lot to it, but it's not as hard as it sounds.
Basically I get to travel a lot and stay home a lot ... and listen to ALL KINDS OF METAL!!

Re: Living
I am unemployed, but I have worked most of my life in the tourism industry. Right now I have been pre selected to work with a national airline company, I hope I can make it.
And last two months I have started a ministry to help people in my community that are also unemployed and in extreme poverty.

I'll just leave it at "no". I'd rather not expound too much, since the whole "union/not union" thing can ruffle feathers a bit. My particular employer is very fair in both the compensation and treatment of their people.

Glad to hear you have a good employer. The only reason I asked about the union part isn't because I care either way but because I had a friend in college who worked in a union grocery. He was giving up a 45k a year union job in produce to go to college for 4 years just for an entry level position as an Engineer making an entry level salary of only 34K a year.
He had a wife and a child at the time...and really didn't like his job.
