I'm posting some debates to spur us on in our reflection of the basis of our faith...

I'm about halfway through the Zaatari debate. White hits heavy at 48:12.

Also, it's amazing how Sami gets atonement and yet really doesn't get it.

After listening to about 20 minutes of the first video, I can see that the first speaker, Zaatari, doesn't really understand type method study. If he did, he wouldn't be saying "You just don't get it" so much.

I have yet to hear White's comments. I'm sure they're a real doozy too  Rolling Eyes

Yeah, you might be surprised. You may want to have a open mind on this one.

As Paul wrote, its foolishness to them.

I have an open mind.

I just wonder what the point is having a "debate" about that particular topic, especially with folks who so strongly reject it.

I've never been very impressed with White's approach to other subjects....I am curious to see what his approach will be with this one.

I'll check it out later tonight.

So, we don't share the Truth of Christ with those that strongly reject it ? scratch

I know, but he said it so clearly 2 or 3 times and every time it made my head spin.

I didn't say that at all.

There's just something about sharing your pearls of wisdom with those who only trample them in the mud.

I'm sure you know what I mean.

Approach or theology ? There is a difference. Let me just say, if its a valid thing for the Church to engage in debate and dialog with unbelievers, then James White is the guy you want for that. He has done due diligence in his studies, especially in Muslim studies.

Approach or theology? Both.

How does he approach this topic with his theology? How does he approach it in his spirit?

My personal opinion is that White seems to be too occupied with making a name for himself. He seems to be too impressed with his title as "teacher"..."scholar"...etc, and that's why he likes getting into these certain type "debates".

I am willing to give this "debate" a listen, though, and I'm listening right now.
