I think your question is which underground/rare albums do we like most, but almost everything we talk about here bar Stryper is underground/rare In terms of purchases, I just bought Impellitteri's debut ep on vinyl for $4 the other day. I have a few Saviour Machine albums I found at a local store which blew my mind. Also bought Mercury by The Prayer Chain at a CD Tradepost store. The most I've spent for a rare CD is $20 for Veni Domine - Fall Babylon Fall on ebay.

My most rare (I think):
Extol - Embraced demo
Bride - Across the Border (original issue)
Horde - Hellig Usvart (original issue)
Kekal - Beyond the Glimpse of Dreams
I probably have others that are rare even by CMR standards but how would I know? I'm not pricing them on E-bay and if they don't get brought up on this board I would never know.

In truth its very expensive being a Christian metal fan for this reason. At least when it comes to the older stuff which is why I mostly stick to secular metal these days when it comes to 80s hair metal. You get better quality for a much cheaper price and can hit the skip button on the songs that mess with your Christian conscience.

Re: Which underground/rare albums are you most proud of?
I'm old (like a lot of us!) and have had a bunch of stuff, but I've traded or sold off some of the higher priced pieces over the years, especially originals that have been re-issued. One in particular that I traded and wish I hadn't was Soul Embraced "Fleshless." Oh well.
I guess a few of my "better" remaining pieces might be:
Frost Like Ashes -- Pure as the Blood Covered Snow
Paramaecium -- Exhumed of the Earth (indie release, no R.E.X. label)
A Plea for Purging -- s/t
Seventh Star -- Lifeblood
Slechtvalk -- Falconry
Thy Pain -- More than Suffering
Underoath -- Act of Depression (Takehold)
Underoath -- Cries of the Past (Takehold)
Vomitorial Corpulence - Skin Stripper
Vomitorial Corpulence -- Karrionic Hacktitian
xLooking Forwardx -- Ahoy Crew Members
Overcome -- 7'
I see that xLFx, for example, is on amazon for over $152. If anybody wants to make a blow me down offer (I'll let that one go for well under $152!), any of these could probably be available for the right price (which will vary considerably). PM if interested.
Hardcore, I'd looked for that BBABH for years -- and THAT was years ago. I don't really care anymore, but could never find that one.

Only somewhat rare thing i own is an original cassette pressing of Vengeance-Human Sacrifice (before they had to add the "rising" to the album art).

Re: Which underground/rare albums are you most proud of?
I'd say the albums I am most proud of are:
Rackets & Drapes - The Sick and the Beautiful
Groms - Ascension
Possession - Scourge and Fire (Actually just sold this though)
Possession - Eternally Haunt
I think the Rackets & Drapes EP is the most I've ever spent on a rare CD. Cost me $90 but is signed and came with a "therapy patient ID card" which is pretty neat. Its a close one between that and Groms. Paid alot for Groms but cant remember if it was more that $90

Well. First of all, although I DO trust you, being old as dirt I have a different perspective on the "forever" that it took you to find this, as I was probably on the lookout for this one (at a good price, at least) since you were around 4. But that's a stunning find, and when I said I didn't really care anymore. . . well just on principle I, like StarFire, had to pounce (and a couple other bargain titles, too, while I was at it). So for real, thank you! Great find!
Now. . . if you have any other magic, other similar titles that I also gave up looking for way back include MyChildren MyBride "Having a Heart for War," Common Yet Forbidden "We Suffer Violence," No Innocent Victim "Strength" and I'm sure others. . . I'd happily pay $5 for any of those!
