Truck is back in the shop Empty Truck is back in the shop

My truck just gave up the ghost. Again. Originally thought it was a u-joint or driveshaft issue, but it may be a transfer case problem, since the truck is a 4 wheel drive. When the tow truck driver dropped the truck at the shop, it rolled downhill even in park, and that concerns me. We need your prayers. I am now without a ride (again), and I'm going to have to find some way to come up with the cash to pay the shop to fix it (whatever the problem ends up being).

As someone who just got the family minivan back from the shop after two weeks of the mechanic not being able to figure out the problem, I sympathize with you and will be praying.

Official diagnosis: the transfer case is stripped. It's going to run close to a grand to fix, but my mother in law is being gracious enough to pay for it. I have 4 payments left on the truck, and then I'll have to pay her back the grand that I now owe.
