Sweating
When I do a workout the sweat I produce really irritates my skin. I scratch my arms and shoulders most of all.
Any ideas? Is it just my sensitive skin being irritated by moisture? Or is it the sweat that irritates? My skin is on the drier side and it can be stingy after a shower if I don't moisturise.
Any one have a clue? Thanks

Re: Sweating
Oh and I workout to tone and build small muscle not to lose weight by the way, before any one freaks out that I will disappear. Don't worry, I make sure I eat more to compensate

The first thing I want to ask you is, what do you eat?
My brother eats a lot of junk food / sweets / carbs and will sweat quite a bit doing menial physical work. I weigh more than him, am bigger than him, eat more than him, but I sweat less.
I used to sweat more than him when I was drinking (alcohol) all the time.
Unless you're having a skin reaction to a body wash or lotion, my bet would be the culprit has to do with your intake... the irritating sweat would be a bi-product.

Oh no, don't ask me about my sugar intake! Ha. I eat a lot of extra sugar. Hot chocolate with 4 marshmellows if nothing else. Usually a handful of chocolate biscuits too. It's an adddiction. Ha. I'm tee total so no alcohol. I don't react like this to washes no. I feel itchy and dehydrated though. so much so that I have to.moisturise as fast as possible. But that's only sometimes. I could try cut down the extra sugar but I have been failing to do that for a year. Thanks

Re: Sweating
When you work out, do you wear loose clothing? You might want to try to wear some clothes that wick the sweat away.

Well its on my arms so I wear nothing on them. I would faint if I got overly hot.
