Bass for Grindcore Empty Bass for Grindcore

I'm looking at getting a Grindcore band going sort of a VxCx/Napalm Death type thing. I;ve been eyeing off a few basses. Epiphone Thunderbird or Nikki Sixx Blackbird. I'm also toying with the idea of an 8 string LTD bass. What are your thoughts?
