Brand new release: "The Brazilian Lost Reels - A Long Lost Tribute to Bride"

[ltr]In 2014, a tribute album by Brazilian bands to Bride was to be released, but instead of focusing solely on Hard Rock and Heavy Metal bands, the idea was to go further by covering other musical styles and showing the power of the legacy and influence of the work of brothers Dale and Troy Thompson on several musicians and bands in Brazil.

Unfortunately, due to a series of problems, including poor management, inexperience in the scene, (apparently) lost files and unfulfilled promises from a label abroad that would finance the project, the tribute ended up being shelved and with no chance of being shown to the general public.

However, with the news of the Petra & Bride tour in Brazil in 2024 (and with the recovery of a HD that had long been considered lost and corrupted), the desire to revisit this project came to light and it will finally be released!

This ends up being not only a tribute to Bride, but a tribute to those involved in the initial project, a way of honoring the musicians who believed in the idea and who unfortunately did not see it come to fruition as it deserved.

The idea here is not to be better than the original songs, which is virtually impossible when dealing with so many classics, but to pay homage by reimagining them and giving a very personal interpretation, but without distorting the original song. The idea is to listen with an open mind to what is to come, as there are several subgenres of Heavy Metal here and you will certainly be surprised!

Some of the songs listed here were even reused by their respective bands in some other project, or are versions of albums prior to 2014, but most of the recordings were made for this project and did not receive adequate audio treatment, sounding even quite raw and were simply lost and destined to be forgotten, but not anymore.
