Any fans of the genre? Might be my all-time favorite genre. My dad used to play a lot of Foreigner, Journey, Toto etc. when I was a kid. I'm always exploring new bands and forgotten jewels. 

Couple of excellent albums:

Boulevard – Into The Street
Dare – Out Of The Silence (my number 1 band)
Fortune – S/T
The Magnificent – S/T
Magnum – On A Storyteller's Night
Signal – Loud & Clear
Strangeways – Walk In The Fire (imo the greatest AOR album)
Survivor – Vital Signs

And ofc some great Christian AOR:

LOVE Aor. Some of the first rock bands I got into were the classic AOR bands like Journey, Styx, and Boston. 

In the Christian realm I am a massive fan of Petra, WhiteHeart, Idle Cure, and Mastedon, as well as others.

Can't leave out Giant, one of the best. Also the band Prophet are excellent at the style.

I really love it when AOR bands rock out over a tough riff and those soulful vocals.  Doesn't happen enough for me to be devoted to the genre, but I did discover this obscure gem a few months ago:

I tend to value AOR in terms of songs, as some are really good and others are more run-of-the-mill.   
Like, bands such as Tyketto, Alien, Signal, 707, The Storm, Bad English, Treat, Pretty Maids, 220 Volt, Halo, Whiteheart, Angelica, Jag, Idle Cure, Liason, Eclipse, etc. will have some really good songs but an entire album might not hold my attention. 

I do think there are some underrated AOR albums though like the 1st Van Zant, Soledriver, Icon - Night Of The Crime, Hughes/Thrall Band, and the Lou Gramm Band album, to name a few off the top of my head.

I’m a huge Journey fan (the Steve Perry era). 

I also like: Foreigner, Asia, Night Ranger, Survivor, Heart (the 80’s era) and gasp… Loverboy.  Razz

Loverboy is great! But the name is embarrassing.

Strangeways - “Walk Into The Fire” should be one of the best selling albums of all time.  It is nearly flawless front to back IMO.
