But honestly, I could’ve gone either way on track 10. Ask me on another day and the albums could end up tied.

On Fire! has a very strong first half, but drops off a bit after that. BB is consistently good, but the highs aren’t quite as high, except for the title track.

That surprised me. I definitely like On Fire more overall, but track by track, they’re more even than I thought.

8/2.  Beyond Belief is one of my top three all-time favorite albums.

It's hard to pick between the 2 albums. On Fire starts off stronger than Beyond Belief but after the 3rd or 4th to around the 7th trach BB I think might be a tad stronger for the hard rockers. Both close out roughly the same except for Homeless Few. That's the least fav song.

I won't do a song v. song breakdown especially in song order, but I just enjoy On Fire overall more.  BB is more on the pop-ish side and the keys are a tad overbearing.

If you don't have Hit You Where you Live on your Top 5 list between these two albums, I just don't get your taste or overall standards/motivations in listening to music.

Even though I did it, this is why the song-by-song comparison might not be a good idea.  Yes, Hit You Where You Live is one of Petra's best songs, but so is I Am On the Rock.  It's like the second-best team in a tournament getting bounced in the first round by the best team.
