Surgery
In one hour, I'll be going through surgery as I broke my ACL last Sunday.
Keep me in your prayers.

Re: Surgery
I am in my room already; thanks for the prayers. Now comes the hardest part: recovery.

What did you do?
I tore mine at 40 playing street football like an idiot.
Absolutely attack rehab! It'll suck the first 2-3 weeks but I was back on the job firefighting in 3.5 months.

I was playing soccer, and a defender tried to block me then I jumped to avoid him, and when I landed, I heard a crack, and that was it.

You broke it, or tore it?

Oh wow, I'm sorry to hear this. I will pray for strength and healing during your recovery.
I'm sure it will not be a picnic, but pace yourself and let's hope for a progressively good outcome.

But ACL is not a cartilage, but a ligament. Ligaments are made of tough, fibrous tissue and are crucial for stabilizing joints by connecting bones to other bones.
Re: Surgery
Are you lying with your leg in that constant motion machine?
I caught up on a lot of movie/shows lying on my back on the floor.

Re: Surgery
I'm doing a lot better now, been doing some physical therapy. And a few weeks back, I kicked off another round of NMES too. My leg’s been acting all weak because I was pretty much leaning on the other one for so long. So yeah, I'm kinda relearning how to walk on both legs again. My doctor mentioned it's more of a mental thing and it'll ease up with time.
