Which is the heaviest Deliverance album?
I would probably list it (from least to most) as:
11. Camelot in Smithereens
10. Assimilation
9. River Disturbance
8. Learn
7. Stay of Execution
6. Hear What I Say!
5. As Above - So Below
4. Deliverance
3. Weapons of our Warfare
2. The Subversive Kind
1. What a Joke
11. Camelot in Smithereens
10. Assimilation
9. River Disturbance
8. Learn
7. Stay of Execution

5. As Above - So Below
4. Deliverance

Define heavy... I imagine many will say Weapons. It's thrash and fast but my definition of heavy is quite different.
It's interesting you picked Camelot. Just out of curiosity why do you think this is their heaviest album? I'd agree Learn is also up there as one of their heaviest albums.

I think Camelot is their least-heavy album. I guess I should make it more clear that it is going from #11 to #1Dustofyears wrote:Define heavy... I imagine many will say Weapons. It's thrash and fast but my definition of heavy is quite different.

I’d say What a Joke and The Subversive Kind are the most intense, but Stay of Execution and Learn might be the “heaviest,” at least in some ways.

What A Joke is definitely the most brutal.
I think As Above, So Below is pretty heavy. Would've sounded even heavier with real drums.
Assimilation is also surprisingly heavy IMO.

Learn for me is their heaviest album.
Haven't heard the more recent albums though.

Yeah. As you might have seen, I love Assimilation, and think it's super underrated, but that's just because I often take melody over pure heaviness (though The Search is probably the heaviest on there) and I wouldn't say it's that heavy.MagnusPrime wrote:What A Joke is definitely the most brutal.

Re: Which is the heaviest Deliverance album?
Yeah, I kind of said heavy in place of most intense/extreme. Learn and Stay are probably heavier as far as how much actual weight the guitars seem to have.Pethead wrote:I’d say What a Joke and The Subversive Kind are the most intense, but Stay of Execution and Learn might be the “heaviest,” at least in some ways.

What A Joke is the heaviest. Followed very closely by Weapons of Our Warfare and the s/t.
