Ecclesia - epic doom metal

Anyone know if these guys are Christian?  They use a lot of Christian imagery though it's so theatrical that it gives me pause.  Very cool music regardless.

I'm not usually a fan of epic doom but I checked out a couple of tracks.  That 'Vatican III" track is really speedy for a doom band.
Not too bad.

This sounds amazing! That saiid, the lack of crucifixes seems odd if they are Catholic. Their Facebook comments are really weird for being Catholic or Christian. It seems tongue-in-cheek, for show. The lyrics themselves are even more confusing with a lot of glorying in violence and judgment. It's like the "Catholic" version of Ghost.

I'm thinking they are toung in cheek lyrics like By Fire & By Sword that are more making fun of Christians not praising Christ but don't have any evidence.

Yeah that's sorta my gut feeling too, though I glanced through some of the lyrics and didn't get that impression, so I dunno.
