Would Impelletteri fit this? It's Christian-friendly.

I wish there was more as well. I grew up in classical music and like a good chunk of Malmsteen's music.

Of course, Ted Kirkpatrick has some classical stuff, but i dont think any of it would actually classify as neoclassical metal.

There's not really a lot of that even in the secular realm. Rob Rock is on an album with Axel Rudi Pell that's pretty safe lyrically. Have you heard the Narnia without Christian on vocals?

Yeah I own Course of a Generation. Thats sad that it isnt a popular genre. Ive listened to some Shining Star and they have their moments but they are more melodic power metalBlack Rider wrote:There's not really a lot of that even in the secular realm. Harmony borrows most of their sound from Yngwie, the definition of neo-classical

I wouldn't call Harmony neo-classical. But if we're trying to get as close to the genre as possible, it might work. Some of their keyboard solos could be labelled as such.

Even though Affector is thoroughly prog metal, Daniel Fries uses a lot of neo-classical type sweeping and minor harmonic scales in his guitar playing. Tons of keyboard solos as well.

Most shredders rip off Yngwie.

I know that Northern Flame described themselves as neoclassical, at least for their debut album
