I have the 3 Mastedon albums and his 3 latest solo albums: Defying Gravity, On My Way to the Sun and The Amazing Grace. Wasn't fussy on his first 2 solo albums Windows of Heaven and Corridors. Defying Gravity is not bad. Has a few songs I like. His latest 2 are better.

I just listened to The Amazing Grace thanks to seeing this thread. I liked it better than modern CCM. It has the 80s CCM sound that I've come to prefer recently. I'd like to go back and listen to his other stuff. I know I already like Mastedon.

The only song I know by him is "If You Just Believe", but I love that song a LOT. I heard a few other songs from Defying Gravity and it's not really my thing.

I like a lot John`s music, basically everything he has put his fingers on. Mastedon albums are pure gold, and his short Kansas era is a worth of mention. His latest solos are very solid records and has powerful songs, but the masterpiece imo, is definietly Kansas cover Dust In The Wind. I love that song.
