What releases are you looking forward to in 2023?
Here are mine:
Confirmed/likely to be released in 2023:
Narnia
Petra (currently recording a new album)
Theocracy
Impellitteri
Jimmy Brown
Somewhat likely/possibly will be released in 2023:
Deliverance
Jerusalem (depends on Ulf Christianson's health issues)
MASS
Sweet & Lynch (depends on how busy Michael Sweet and George Lynch and if they committed to a release for 2023. The first 2 are ok and the debut is better. Hopefully this one will be better)
Worldview/Humancode (I guess it depends on George Ochoa)
X-Sinner
If 6 to 8 of these releases are actually released, 2023 will be a great year regarding new music.

Is it Petra as we know it... or is it that other band with the same name... because I checked out a christian band called Petra and I was, frankly, Petrified by what I was exposed to...

Narnia, Petra, Impellitteri, does anyone have the source of it?
I had no idea these bands were working in new music.

I don't think Deliverance would be working on anything so soon. I guess Jimmy will be busy with his solo project.
Maybe, and just maybe, they could set a Kickstarter campaign focused on a 2024 release.

Jimmy mentioned awhile back on his podcast that there's a Deliverance - The Subversive Kind expanded reissue coming in 2023 with a couple of new tracks.

Narnia was recording the new album since 2021 and posted a couple of photos in studio, aside some brief posts too. Will be a stellar release. Petra also posted some photos in studio too...

The next FLOOD album.
Erik Mendez apparently isn't part of that anymore. Is Mark Lewis still around? That would be a fun addition to the album...
In fact, I think that idea was at the very least entertained in the comments in one Facebook post...
I've censored the names and pictures, but this was in one of the posts of Gary's artist page on Facebook.
There is a mention of a post having been deleted. It was a post by Gary.
And people seemed to be stoked about what he had said.
To me this looks like Gary posted that Mark Lewis and Erik Jan James would be part of the album.
I think there are four possibilities:
1) They were never mentioned and I just understood it wrong.
2) They were mentioned but it was a joke and was never supposed to be taken seriously and Gary deleted it.
3) They were mentioned but they weren't supposed to be mentioned yet because it might ruin the surprise (if this is the case, I'm sorry for ruining the surprise, lol)
4) They were mentioned and Gary is trying to make it work but they haven't agreed to be part of the album yet so Gary deleted it for being premature. Kinda like at first Gary said both Luke and Victor Macias are going to be part of Flood but that never ended up happening.
But the fact is that Gary did post something as a reply to that initial question and he did delete his post, and some people were very excited about what he said and someone suggested it's about people who he remembers being shown in the Stop the Bleeding release...
Whatever the truth is, I'm very happy with Gary and Guy making a new album. I'm bummed that Erik Mendez will not be part of it but I'm still really excited about the upcoming album. They've already been recording it and Gary has said it will be fast and heavy.

What I'm looking forward to...
Petra! 20 years since their last one! This is gonna be great, as Bob never fails to write incredible lyrics.
Flood. Follow up to their brilliant first album.
Whitecross. The EP was great, but we all want a full album!
Bride. Hopefully be out early 2023. Always love some Bride.
Stairway. This has been put back, as it was due out in about 2020, but Covid got in the way. Really keen to hear it.
X-Sinner. Great that they're back.
Theocracy. Always an album of the year contender
Impellitteri. Another great band.

But, differently from Narnia's last two albums, this won't be supported by a Brazilian tour, I guess.
