Yeah, the donkey took me aback the first time I heard it. But the album has so many great lyrics, melodies, riffs, and hooks. It’s fantastic.

I loved when this album came out because I really liked their only demo 20 years prior

I'll have to re-visit it. It didn't leave an impact when I listened a year or so ago. Seemed much more restrained than the demo.

I’m a sucker for melodic vocals in thrash, so HIA fits my tastes nicely.

Yeah, this is better than I remember. Some parts lean toward Groove Metal too often for me (like Black Album era Metallica) but there's some good thrashy stuff too.
