Redeemer - The Light Is Struck (female-fronted thrash)
Good stuff! Reminds me a big of Znowhite but more melodic.

It's a good album but I did some research on them awhile back and they are not a Christian band....fairly Christian friendly though.

really?! Seemed like they were with some of these lyrics. I'll have to try to track down the lyrics somewhere.

I took another look at their lyrics on the metal-archives.
I suppose one could make a case for them being a faith-based band based on some songs.
But even then, any references to Scripture are vague and a bit muddled. For example:
The Magician:
Verse 1:
Behold his wisdom, child like innocence old man
A wealth of know, powers oh so grand
He hold the keys of mysteries unknown
With magic sickle, reaps what he has sown
Verse 2:
Command, release the force within your hand
Complete, control of air, sea and land
Revel in sands of time, secrets they hold
Revealed to you, the reading of the soul
Chorus:
Magician
Verse 3:
Wide eyes see his gifts, fall from above
Supreme Gods messenger brings faith, peace, love
Supremacy to evil, force of gold
Magician, prophet, priest as scriptures told
Chorus:
Magician
Like, who is the magician they are talking about? Is it supposed to be a reference to Christ? Christ was not a magician nor an old man, and magic is condemned in the Bible. This sounds more like allegory, but again, if it is Christian-based the message is muddled and unclear.
I would say the album is Christian-friendly to a degree. But if someone asked me to recommend a Christian band in this musical style I would say Ordained Fate and wouldn't really reference these guys (er, and gals) as an explicitly Christian band.
I know I'm being picky, I just don't want anyone to rush out and buy it and be disappointed or confused.
But I have posted a song or two from them in my MeWe Christian metal group under the heading of "Christian friendly."
