Man, this used to be a great label delivering great melodic hard rock. But they’ve oversaturated the market. Everything they release, with an exception here or there, sounds the same, and none of it ever makes me say ‘wow!’.
I long for melodic hard rock, but these guys need to focus more on quality instead of quantity.

Agreed. Although I would rather hear generic melodic rock than all the mediocre, non-distinctive metalcore, deathcore, black, and Euro power metal that is out there.

You would think that they would have learned this lesson from the labels in the 80s.

Re: Frontiers Records
Don't they mostly use the same songwriters, and just switch out the singers?
Too many people think "singer=band" which results in this phenomena.

I think there is a lot of that going on. The label owner(s) find a singer who wants to make an album and suggests a few song-writer's and musicians from other members on their label and often call it a completely new band. Some of it is great, but it does seem like there is a ton of filler on their roster now.

Re: Frontiers Records
The only "new" bands on the label who I really dig are Crazy Lixx and Crashdiet, and even they had albums on other labels before getting signed.
