Pierce Pettis - Everything Matters. The songs are really growing on me as I get to know them better and catch more of the lyrics. Favourites so far: Neutral Ground, God Believes In You, Kingdom Come.

Hahaha good! Amnis is the same folks from the Czech doom band Trinity. Bard told me that while Amnis is no longer active, he's got a new folk project in the works which I'm very eager to hear.

If you're interested in giving this awesome Christian folk songwriter a listen, this is the album to start with. It's a best-of of the first few albums.

I'm sure there have been more bands that have written songs about Psalm 40. Steve Bell is not well known outside of Canada. There are some Biola staff members that are fans that bring him down there semi-regularly.

I didn't think I'd ever heard of Josh Garrels, but now upon listening to a song or two on Youtube, I think there's a few people from our church who listen to him. I'll spin him a bit this week.

Somehow I heard Psalm 40 by him, I think someone was telling me he actually sang the Psalm unlike U2 who sang a line from it.

I am a Huge fan of Sons Of Korah. Their Redemption Songs are all straight from the Psalms. They do a version of Ps 40. I was lucky enough to see them when they came to the states around 2000.
