Best 80's band that didn't get signed?
Might be Soldier, they had it all but for some reason, while other lesser bands got signed they never did. Who would you pick?

Maybe Crossforce. I have the Roxx CD of demos and I am wondering how they would've sounded if they had some backing.

Both were good but I think Soldier had stronger overall output.

Soldier were killer live. Good guys. I see Jimmy from time to time and I ran into Rick at a Bloodgood show in March.

Can't pick one:
Apostle
Paradox
*So glad Roxx did the Soldier anthology! They should have been signed, no doubt!

There are a LOT that I really liked. Repent comes to mind. Apostle I agree with. Soldier, too. All were great.

There were a lot of unsigned bands that had 2 or 3 great songs, but the rest of their catalog was kinda weak. With that being said, when you look at some of the bands that DID get signed, like Force 3 and Creed (Ger), it makes you wonder how bands like Soldier, Apostle, Paradox, Judea, Taker, ect etc didn't get something.
A couple of my favorites

Phil Accardi's Chalice
I believe Almighty Rock Records was their own label....so they weren't ever really signed, right?

Irish was good, really remind me of Rage of Angels.

I’d never heard of Apostle so I checked them out on YouTube. Very cool! They were great. I wish they’d been signed.

I saw them in HM quite a bit, it's strange it didn't happen.

You know this is much more about being in the right place at the right time than talent itself.
In this market there is too much money for a few bands only (or no one, in case of christian metal)

I think in the 80's there weren't that many people who knew how to do the business.
