Stryper is coming to Toronto, Ontario, Canada on May 15. I'm thinking of seeing them. I would have to fly over from Newfoundland, Canada which is on the east coast.

Tourniquet has a gig in Norway and Sweden on July and the second guitarist there is Narnia's guitarist CJ Grimmark. I wonder if he's going to play for Tourniquet in that Brazil gig too.

Who is playing bass for Tourniquet? Maybe Andy Robbins from Holy Soldier?
Who is singing? Any clue?

If they manage to bring Les, it will be just THE BEST NIGHT ever.
How can you get all of this in a single day for a single price:
- Stryper;
- Narnia;
- Tourniquet;
- Andy Robbins;
- Les Carlsen.
I know they don't live close to each one, but they could do a cover of The Messiah and pick up a Holy Soldier song to cover, as well.

You know I have seen Stryper twice and Narnia once plus a solo concert of Michael Sweet and German Pascual (ex-Narnia), but I will never get tired of Narnia, they deliver an astonishing live performance. Probably the best I have ever seen.
Tourniquet, on the other hand, is one of that bands that I have never dreamed of seing playing live.

The band played The Messiah in Brainstorm Fest last year, so we have a great chance in see this here too

no no NO!...NOT with Tourniquet.
love me some les carlsen...but NOT with Tourniquet...
his voice goes great with Bloodgood but (did I mention this?) NOT with Tourniquet.
case in point: the Intense Live Series Tourniquet CD

Re: Stryper + Narnia + Tourniquet, together in Brazil!
To this day, I still don't understand all the rejection of Tourniquet's Intense Live Series due to Les Carlsen voice.
Of course, we got to understand that we talking about three completely different styles of singing when we compare Guy ritter, Luke Easter and Les Carlsen.
I never thought Luke Easter voice fit any early tourniquet song, for instance. I would probably hate to hear Guy Ritter singing any song from Luke's era. In fact, I doubt there could be a singer able to fit both eras.
That said, I can respectfully say that Les Carlsen is the most skilled singer among the three.
So, this is much more about the following question:
Do you prefer a growling voice style of singer or a clean voice style?

Re: Stryper + Narnia + Tourniquet, together in Brazil!
My comment about the live EP is just my thing. If you love it, awesome and enjoy it!
For me I have probably literally listened to it less (HAHA! when I originally wrote this it put in "Les") than ten times (possibly even less than 5) and Les is the reason. Again, I love Bloodgood and Les fits them perfectly.
It may have to do with the fact that Guy Ritter is my favorite metal vocalist, period, and when he wasn't on the EP it was such a let down for me and 25 years on I still feel the same way about it. I WANT to listen to it but I just can't.
As far as the growling or singing, it just depends. For example I prefer Ryan Clark's clean vocals over his growlers. And as far as growlers go, for me Jason Wisdom sets the bar, nobody can touch him as far as straight up growlers go (in particular Becoming the Archetype growling). I can't think of a flip side example but growlers on a Stryper tune probably won't work for me.
I guess for me certain voices/vocals styles go with certain musc/styles...
