Theocracy - Ghost Ship (album)

My appreciation for this album has grown over time. Songs I wasn't that into when I first heard them, I find myself liking quite a lot now. I still don't love it as much as As The World Bleeds, but it's definitely one of the best albums of the last several years.

1. Mirror Of Souls
2. Theocracy
3. Ghost Ship
4. As The World Bleeds

Delain - Here Come the Vultures

Definitely my favorite Delain song. It's the darkest - not to mention one of the heaviest - thing they've done, and some of Charlotte Wessels' best lyrics. I especially like the part where the choir is singing while Charlotte hums - very cool and eerie.

3. Theocracy
4. Mirror of Souls

I'm probably very unusual for ranking Mirror last. Don't get me wrong - it's a fantastic album, and I love. It was my introduction to Theocracy and the album that showed me that Christian music could actually be great. And the title track is my favorite song of all time. But on the whole, I don't think it's quite as great as the others.

Mirror has Laying the Demon to Rest which is my favorite song by them. Love the heaviness of the tune.
