Hellyeah. Yay or Nay?

So if we can have a thread on Ghost, I can at least try this one. While certainly not satanic, and even having some lyrics that show they believe in God's existence, Hellyeah is likely a bit much for many on this forum. I really like this band, but understand I will assuredly be in the minority. Hate em? Like em? Who?

"A bit much"?  You might be underestimating what some of the folks around here listen to 

Nay.  Doesn't hold a candle to certain member's previous output.......and surprisingly, I'm referencing Mudvayne and not Pantera......


As a side note, they played a show locally a couple years back, and their bus broke down.  A good friend of mine just happened to recognize Vinnie as he and the rest of the band we're walking by down the sidewalk, offered them a ride, and ended up spending the rest of the day driving them around, was treated to a day of drinks and a movie on Vinnie's dime, and given free tickets to the show.  Cool guys that gave my buddy a memory that will last a lifetime.

You're right, I am surprised. I could never get into Mudvayne. Maybe a song or two, but that was it. Cool story about the bus breakdown.

I'm not a huge fan of the band, but I am a fan of Vinnie Paul. I've been listening to him since Pantera was a cover band.

Really can't get into them. Chad's lyrics sound like he's trying way too hard to be a proud Southerner and it gets on my nerves.

I guess I'm in the minority because I like them. I had the chance to book them, but we were already booked for a different show so we had to pass. Still wish the other band had fallen through. LOL!

I like them a lot.  Startariot and Demons in the Dirt are two of my favorite songs.  I'm a big fan of Vinnie Paul and Chad Grey particular.

Those are 2 great, adrenaline pumping songs. "Matter of Time", "Moth" and "Cowboy Way" are a few more favorites of mine.

I've never heard any of their music myself. My cousin where's a Hellyeah shirt, so either he's a poser or he likes the band!
